Kristen W, President
Kristen is serving as president for 2026-2028. Kristen has been in the club since 2023. She joined the club to find a third space in her community and to continue to find a bit of “Ut Prosim” in her daily life. Kristen is also serving as the Blue Ridge District 3rd Vice President and Director of Junior of Clubs for the 2026-2028 term. Kristen enjoys various club service opportunities such as volunteering at the Lyric Theatre, cooking for To Our House and working the Diaper Depot at the Montgomery Country Christmas Store. Outside of the club she enjoys reading, baking and anything Hokies! She is also kept busy spending time with her husband and two kids.
Amy D, Vice President of Reporting
Amy is serving as Vice President of Reporting for 2025-2027. She also serves as the Assistant Director of Junior Clubs for the Blue Ridge District for 2026-2028. She has been in the club for 10 years. Amy joined after moving to the area to meet and make new friends. Her three favorite service projects are Cornerstone apartment setup for Women’s center, Last minute angels and Cinderella Project.
Kelley O, Vice President of Membership
Kelley is serving as Vice President of Membership for 2026-2028. She is a Virtual Middle School Math Teacher with Chesterfield County Public Schools and has spent the last 15 years in education. She is passionate about helping students build confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning both inside and outside the classroom.
Originally from Winchester, Kelley now lives in Blacksburg just a stone’s throw from Lane Stadium with her alumni husband two children, ages 2 and 5. In her free time, she enjoys visiting the local farmers market, hosting tailgates and spending time with her black lab on the Huckleberry Trail.
Always having a service oriented mind, Kelley was a member of Builders Club as a middle schooler, Key Club as a high schooler and Circle K while in college. After moving to the area, Kelley was very involved with the Christiansburg Kiwanis Club where she was able to directly impact community where she was teaching and served as the first female president of the Christiansburg Kiwanis Club and was honored as Kiwanian of the Year.
Elizabeth Y, Secretary
Elizabeth is serving as Secretary for a second term for 2025-2027. She has been with the Blacksburg Junior Women’s Club since 2020, and the club’s secretary since 2022.
She initially joined the BJWC as a way to give back to the community that raised her, growing up and graduating from Christiansburg High School. Elizabeth’s favorite project is the annual Diaper Drive, which provides support to the Montgomery County Christmas Store. She also enjoys shopping for Last Minute Angels for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program and supporting Micah’s Backpack by packing weekend meals for students in need.
Outside of volunteering with BJWC, Elizabeth enjoys completing citizen science projects that she performs with the Virginia Master Naturalist Program. She is also an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her fur babies, Wrigley and Lainey.
Tiasha K, Treasurer
Tiasha is serving as treasurer for 2026-2028. She joined BJWC in 2019. She is especially passionate about volunteering. Two of her favorite projects are the Montgomery County Christmas Store and To Our House, where she feels most connected to our community.
