BJWC will be assisting Radford's program, Bobcats for Backpacks, in helping ensure in need children have enough to eat over the weekend by help packing the bags.
BJWC will be delivering bags to Prices Fork Elementary
Pick up approximately 35 bags from pew on Thurs evening at 6:45 pm or or Friday between 9-noon to deliver to Price's Fork Elementary School on Friday by noon. The bags go to the front office. There are three shopping carts to use for unloading and bringing in the building.
The Giving Tree is a 100% volunteer and donation powered food pantry, operating out of Fieldstone UMC. Come and volunteer with them for one or more Friday night food pantry distributions. Family members are welcome, too! They will be shorthanded every Friday this Summer May-Aug so we are on their calendar once per month this summer. Friday Night Food Distribution is every Friday, 5:45PM-7:15PM.
Please come join us for an informative evening at The Farmhouse in Christiansburg from 7 to 8:30 pm and learn about how BJWC is helping serve the New River Valley. We will have deserts and beverages for your dining pleasure. Please check back for more information soon!
We will be offering FREE kids craft activities at the Steppin Out festival. Please come see us!! Our booth is located in the Starbucks parking lot.
Through February 18th, all donations we receive on our website will go toward our donation to the Special Olympics at the Polar Plunge in Radford, VA. Please consider supporting the ladies brave enough to jump in by making a donation and then come out to cheer them on.
